From national selections to the European Finals
Launched in 2017, the European Money Quiz is one of the flagship initiatives of European Money Week, held every March. Students first compete in national selections run by each participating banking association, and the winning team from each country then travels to Brussels for the European Finals. Questions cover the financial topics young people increasingly face in everyday life, from saving and long-term planning to digital finance, cybersecurity, fraud prevention and responsible money management.

3 simple steps to participate

Registration: Contact your national banking association
National banking associations are responsible for the organisation and registration of their national selections. Therefore, there can be slight differences between the national competitions, due to national specificities.
National selections: Compete against classrooms across your country
Once registered, classrooms take part in their country’s national selection, competing against other schools in a quiz on money and personal finance. Each national banking association sets the format and timing of its own selection, and the winning classroom in each country goes through to the European finals.
European finals: Represent your country in Brussels
National banking associations will contact their national winners to take part in the European finals, and arrange the practical details of travel to Brussels together. At the live final, the national champions compete against one another, with the questions available in each team’s own language.
