Retail payments strategy for the EU – EBF response to the Commission consultation
BRUSSELS, 26 June 2020 – The EBF has responded to the Commission consultation on retail payments strategy for the EU. In our response, we highlight our commitment for fast, convenient, safe, affordable and transparent payment instruments with a pan-European reach that can contribute to greater independence of the EU payments market. It is important that the EU has a modern, digital and well-functioning payments market, where European consumers and businesses have a choice of easy, fast and safe payment methods, suitable to their different needs.
